How long did it take to get your marriage License?

    Did you take a marriage prep class like with the church or anything? If you did then you will get it right away. If not then I think you get it right away but it's not valid for three days.

    If you mean in regards to time then it took us like 45 min to an hour to get it done. ;)

    Maybe I should have read your whole message...haha

    But they make you take a number and then you have to wait for them to call. They weren;t busy when I went and we were the only ones there but hey sat around and did other stuff until they decided to call us. I would say plan to take an hour.

    It didn't even take 30 minutes for us... we didn't take any classes.  There was also one person in front of us when we got there and it was the Delray court house.

    I hear that it takes a shorter amount of time if you do the paperwork ahead of time.

    Ooh what pre-application are you talking about?? I want to do this ASAP!

    I'm out of state so luckily there is no waiting period -- we're getting our license next Wednesday first thing in the morning -- 2 days before the wedding.

    The first link is the pre-application. This is the page for marriage licenses in Broward but they have these for Miami and Palm Beach as well.

    I heard DON'T go downtown, it will take much longer. try a satellite court office like in plantation.

    Also, do we Have to have a SS card?  I lost mine a few years ago when my purse was stolen  :(

    Hey girls, I don't post on here often....getting married in Orlando but live in Broward. I know it sounds weird but there is a clerk of courts division at Rick Case Honda in Davie/Weston in case anyone lives out that way. Took us fifteen mintutes!

    I didn't need my ss card but I would bring it just in case. They have small offices throughout Broward that are quicker then the Courthouse in Ft Lauderdale. Like someone said before, they are quicker. I went to the one off of Hillsboro and Military Trail and it was 3 windows just for quick marriage license transactions.
