I have had a lot of surgery.... mostly because my ligaments and tendons enjoy tearing. knee, ankle, ankle again, tonsils removed, wrist, kidneys, and I should have wrist surgery again but I just don't want to go through the hassle for it not to work again.

I am legally deaf in my left ear.  I wore a hearing aid until I was 11 years old, at which point, my audiologist said I didn't have to wear it if I kept my grades up (which I did).  I haven't worn one since...and I am currently the only member of my immediate family that DOESN'T wear one.  LOL!

I have strabismus in my left eye. That means my left eye doesn't turn left. Unfortunately, the muscle never developed, so the muscle that turns my eye right has over compensated and pulls my eye inward. Good times. I've had a couple of surgeries, but nothing will fix it permanently. When I meet other people that have the same eye problem or worse, it confuses the heck out of me. I don't know which eye to look at. When I make fun of myself, it makes people uncomfortable. ; )

I went to the hospital to give birth to my son, who is now18 months-old, and ended up having emergency brain surgery less than a month later. I so look forward to holding that one over his head as a teenager. LOL

Haha April! It's not quite like that. It's just that one of the bones in my big toes is shaped wonky. So they can't just lie straight. My mom wanted me to get it fixed (my great g'ma had it so bad she couldn't walk eventually). But I didn't because as of right now there is no problem, and I didn't want to spend 4 months in a wheelchair!

I went to Vietnam for vacation in 2005.  Yep, vacation.  And I went ALL BY MYSELF to visit a friend who was travelling the world at the time.  Now when something in my life is challenging me, I just tell myself that I travelled half-way around the world by myself so now I can do anythig!

I was born with hip dysplasia (like a dog, ha) aka "clicky hips". Now I'm a runner. I also have a port wine stain birth mark on my right leg/foot. Some people ask if it's poison ivy.

According to my Grandma, I'm related to the Kennedy's.  Not sure if I believe this, but a couple other family members have confirmed it.  Don't really want the Kennedy curse!!!

I read about 150-200 books a year (usually fiction/ paperbacks- because I can't afford hardcovers lol- mystery, horror, medical thrillers, romance, just about anything!) It kind of makes me giggle when I see those NBC challenges "I'm going to read 75 books this year!" Ummm.... I win.

I like to sniff the top of my dogs head right above his eyes cuz it smells like he did when he was a puppy. I do it at least once a day.
