Honeymoon in December to Disney!!

Hello!! We are going to Disney (Florida) for our honeymoon! December =] All reservations are books, resort flight and Mickey's Magical Christmas, so were looking into dinner reservations an other couple thongs to do while on our stay. I heard there was a nice resturant that had a window table to watch the fire works while dinning but dont recall the name, any one know? Were both eager to explore Disney togther, and it's my favorite place! I haven't been in years but love everything about it!! So I would love suggestions on where to go or not to go. Were staying at Corondo Springs Resort, which from photos looks beauitful, any one stayed there? Thanks! -C.

We honeymooned in Disney this year too! The restaurant you're referring too is California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. I think there's a restaurant at the Grand Floridian that you can see wishes from too.

California Grill is the restaurant you want to be in at night to watch Wishes. It's at the top of the Contemporary Hotel. In fact, there are many restaurants in the hotels that are top-notch and not to be missed. Citiricos or Narcoosees - Grand FlaJiko or Boma - Animal Kingom LodgeSpirit of Aloha (Luau dinner show) - PolynesianYachtsman Steakhouse - Yacht ClubAnd don't forget to stop at Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club for some dessert.

Since you have reservations, I assume you're already inside the 180-day mark, which is when the coveted reservations get taken - and quickly. If you can get in, try for breakfast in the castle (Cinderella'a Royal Table). The food & service is great.

Let me start by saying I LOVE each of your photos! Thank you for the information. I would love to do breakfast at The Castle!!! There is just SO much to do and trying to nail everything in order of what seems more exceiting and enjoyable!! I'm going to book for the California Grill tonight, hoping they are not booked. And look into the breakfast and luau.

I love Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast too! I'm not sure if you're on the dining plan or not, but if you are CRT and CG are both 2 table credits each.

I recently lived in the Orlando area and have now been to Disney over 30 times! My suggestions:The California Grill in the contemporary resort is the best place to watch the fireworks and the food is delicious!Are you going to Epcot? If so, the best restaurant is the Teppan Edo at the Japan Pavillion. It's a Japanese steak house and not only is the food AMAZING but the chefs are very entertaining and it's a cool atmosphere. Avoid the San Angel Inn at the Mexico Pavillion....I went twice and both times i had horrible service, the food tasted bad and it is way overpriced! The restaurant in China also isn't that great either. Otherwise, every other pavillion has good food!Are you going to Hollywood Studios? If so eat before. If i have one complaint about that park, it's that they don't have a lot of good inexpensive or quick food options. Another suggestion - it is EXTREMELY crowded in December, so if I were you I would make reservations in advance because 1. They fill up quickly and most places will flat out tell you they have no availability and 2. the cafeteria styled places are usually so over crowded and hectic, it can get frustrating (and you don't want a bad experience at Disney or on your honey moon!)Want some time away from the theme parks? I would check out the Cirque du Soleil show at Downtown Disney. Plus, there are tons of shops there and is one of the best places to buy souvenirs!One more thing, Fast pass! I think they have it at all of the parks. It will definetely help you save time! Just an FYI - you can only have one Fast pass at a time, so get it for the rides you really want to go on, or the ones that are known to be most popular (soarin', splash mountain, space mountain, etc). I hope this helps...if you can't tell I LOVE Disney and have a lot of inside information because i've been so many times! So if you have ANY questions, definetely give me a holler!

Wow! Great info =] I am going to check out those sites today!! I went to do the dinning reservations online but got a little confused, so I'm going to call so I can ask my questions. I already told the hubby to be that we will be venturing to Disney as often as possible! Possibly not as extravagant as this trip Hah. Yes, were going to all parks and I will check into that steak house! Were staying for 10 days!! So were going to hit as much as possible. Thanks again all!

we're disneymooning in april!! the restaurant you are asking about is called california grill, it's located on the very top floor of the contemporary resort. it's right across the lake from magic kingdom and i believe that the restaurant has panoramic windows so that most tables have views of the fireworks. you just have to try to time your reservation right! as far as suggestions on what to do and what not to do... there's so much great stuff! i pretty much am the same way as you - it's my favorite place and i love everything! my favorite parks are magic kingdom, epcot, and animal kingdom. if you've never been to animal kingdom i definately recommend it! i guess hollywood studios (used to be called mgm studios) is my least favorite - but if you like thrill rides, definately check it out because that park has tower of terror and rockin roller coaster
