Ceremony Broadcast Invite?

Hi Everyone,THEwedding Chapel at MB offers a live broadcast of ceremonies over the internet. I was looking in to this option for my ceremony. We are limited with our budget and can only invite 30 close friends and family. When I saw the live broadcast option I thought of possibly sending an invite to those friends and family that we were unable to invite so they may share our special moment with us. The only problem is that I am afraid to hurt anyone's feelings and seem rude by not inviting them to the wedding but inviting them to watch the broadcast. We are also having an at home reception and will be inviting those who were unable to join us in Vegas.Has anyone done this? Is this the right think to do?

    We are in the small boat. So what we did was put something on our ATH invite.At the bottom of the invite It says: "please vist www... to view our wedding ceremony"HTH

    We're also going to put the webcast information on our AHR invite, and we'll probably post the link on our Facebook profiles as well.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    We're doing the same thing for our wedding and when I was designing the annoucement, I decided to combine them since the people I was sending them to were all those we knew wouldn't be able to come.  So I did a large postcard with all the details.

    I was curious about this as well, I'm not an MB bride, but do they give you the website information in advance of the wedding?  We are sending out announcements from Vegas (day of wedding) and I'd love to have the information included.  I think you can typically pay to have the broadcast kept online longer.For those including in your AHR invite/announcement when are you sending these out?

    I wanted to send our AHR invites after the wedding only because I wanted to use a picture from our wedding. So I won't be able to include the ceremony broadcast info at that time. I'm thinking about creating an announcement to send out with the website and info so our friends and family can watch our ceremony. I'm not sure how to go about wording it though... Any ideas?

    I paid for this service through the Flamingo.  Our wedding was broadcast live and kept in an archive for 30 days afterwards.    I think it cost $59 or something. There were evite type invitations from Cashman that I edited and emailed to those who weren't attending (RVSP'd No).  It was pretty simple wording.  They had templates, I just changed a few words.  Something along the lines of "Because we want to share the joy of this day with you, you're invited to watch the nupitals of  Bride & Groom via the internet on Date, Time"   It included the link to the site where the at home guests could watch.
