Trash the Dress

Does anyone know of the trash the dress photographer? I have been dying to do this and wanted to know if there was one anyone knew of.

Not trying to be snarky, but if you don't care what happens to the dress after the wedding (as I don't), why not donate it instead of trashing it?  You spent good money on it and another bride could wear it and the money would go to charity (ex: Brides Against Breast Cancer).  Just a thought.

spainerk - There are plently of reputable cleaners out there. If dani decides to have a photoshoot with her dress, clean it afterward, and preserve it, or donate it that is her choice. For you to assume that she does not "care what happens to her dress" is not fair. "Trash the Dress" does sound horrible. I have been calling it "Rock the Dress" at my house because I do not plan on ruining it - neither does anyone else I know who is considering this beautiful form of photography. IF she wants to donate her dress afterward she still can. dani - a number of us are using Kevin Jacobus. I know an 08 knottie did this as well. I will try to get a name for you.

I've noticed that many photographers do this, they just may not call it "Trash the Dress."  I've seen it referred to as a "day after shoot" and for some brides, it's just another opportunity to have pictures taken in your (expensive) dress.  Not all need to take it to any extremes, it can just be a more casual and relaxed shoot, when you're not so worried about getting any dirt on your dress or messing up your hair...  or maybe even just in a location you didn't have time to make it to on your wedding day.

Jane is my photographer too and she said she would do less intense shots. I have seen some just at the beach, at a park you like, etc. janelydickstaid.com is her other website, too.

Gabs- no need to jump down my throat.  With a name like "trash the dress" I think that it implies ruining the dress to the point of no return.  I had no idea that the dress could be cleaned after that (and then preserved, sold, donated, etc.)  My point about not caring about the dress wasn't because I think that is a bad thing.  I am not particularly attached to my dress so I will be selling it or donating it after my wedding. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Thank you ladies for all the names and the help. I do care about my dress but I just feel like what I paid for it I would like some more photos. I feel the "trash the dress" photos are more laid back. I don't think you trash the dress really in any photos you are just taking photos in different places. Thank you.
