Mercury Hall

Hi everyone, Has anyone looked into Mercury Hall? I was wondering how they were as a vendor. Has anyone been to or had an event there? I'm planning to have 150 guests at my event and wanted to know how many people I would have to seat inside and outside in order to fit a dance floor. Thanks! Claire

I was *thisclose* to doing my wedding at Mercury Hall! It's so beautiful. We're having 100 guests and figured we could fit them all inside and still have a decent size dance floor. You could maybe do one more table (108-110 people), but probably not much more than that and the rest would have to go outside (which is equally beautiful, so unless scorching hot, not a problem). Good luck!

Thanks! That's good to know, we'd only have to fit 5 more tables outside. Not as bad as I thought. Which venue did you end up using? We're trying to find alternatives to Mercury Hall. The only other place I saw was Allen House but Allen House is too small.

I thought that I would pop over from the Nest to let you know that I had my wedding at Mercury Hall almost 2 years ago, and we seated our guests both in and outdoors. I think it turned out beautifully, and we were blessed with wonderful weather. I think we had about 160 to 170 people there (funny how things get fuzzy after almost 2 years). Anyway, I have pics in my bio of the wedding. I absolutely adore Mercury Hall, and I say go for it! Good luck, and happy planning!!

Sorry, Claire, I saw this after I posted on your other string! I'm actually get married at Star Hill Ranch. I narrowed it down to Star Hill, Mercury Hall, and Texas Old Town. Star Hill was my favorite for the atmosphere, how quiet and away from it all it is, and what an amazing man Adam, the owner, is to work with. Plus, they gave us a killer deal. But seriously, I don't think you could go wrong with any of those three. Let me know if you have more questions!

Yes, actually I do have a few more questions :) Do you mind emailing me at hui.claire@gmail.com? I have a few more questions to ask you about how you decided on Star Hill as your venue.... most importantly: howd you get a deal? I'm trying not to do mine on a Saturday and trying to book something in advance since most of my side of the family is from Canada. So I'm pretty stuck with trying to find another day other than Saturday. Plus, I saw your inspiration board and that's exactly how I want my wedding so it may be helpful to talk with someone with the same vision as I do :)
