Favorite Blogs

Now that my google reader has become a necessity, I'm always looking for new blogs to add.  Any faves?  Cooking, home improvement, technology, fashion, etc etc.  Anything really!

Umm, hello, my blog is your favorite, right? ;)I love Life in the Fun Lane right now. She refinishes furniture and does some amazing home improvements. I also think YoungHouseLove.com is a good site, but they've gotten really commercialized now.HTH!

This lady is a WC nestie - I adore her blog! (Warning - it will probably make you hungry!)http://goodthingscatered.blogspot.com/I tend to look at lots of blogs on WC, and see which ones appeal to me, and then add them if there are alot of good recipes I want to try! I am addicted to the Daily Beast for news, it is just short snippets of news of the day! http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheat-sheet/?cid=csi:topnav:cs

Yours! :-) Also, Killer Strands (though it's boring sometimes) and Disease Proof. I also have some cooking ones (Cheap Healthy Good, Erica's blog, L2's, Rookie Chef) and money-saving ones (moneysavingmethods, JANE4girls). Ok, dumb techie question that I can't for the life of me figure out: how in the world do you add a blog to google reader if there's no link in the blog?

I don't actually love Pioneer Woman - I do have her in my Reader, but, while I like pictures, she goes so overboard and it takes forever to get to the recipe.  It's a bit annoying, I think.Molly - that's intriguing - I wonder what it means. It would take me forever to tell you the blogs I follow - but check them out on WC, most of them are from there. :)

Oh, money saving wise, I read:-Money Saving Mom-Deal Seeking Mom-Money Saving MethodsAnd I usually check out the links that other people post on their sites.  I also read Notes from the Trenches pretty regularly.  She has 7 kids and is an awesome writer.

Dori - what do you mean about no link in the blog? What about the URL address in the address bar. You should be able to copy and paste it into your google reader. Or you could probably right click on properties to get the website address. Does that help?

oh I also read tons of techy blogs and blogs about cyber security because I'm a huge dork. My Google Reader is just full of nerdy blog posts. I doubt anyone has an interest in those though :p

Ok, dumb techie question that I can't for the life of me figure out: how in the world do you add a blog to google reader if there's no link in the blog? Not sure I understand this question?  You just add the main blog link where it says 'subscription' in GR.  Like, for mine - you'd add www.ericaskitchenadventures.blogspot.com - the main page. What blog are you trying to add that you can't figure out?

It's a bit annoying, I think.Haha, well...I'm not a cook and I need the step by step and pictures sometimes!  I appreciate the "how to dice an onion" steps!  :)  I can see what you mean though.  I read her other sections besides cooking.  Molly, she lives on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma and blogs about her life.  She home schools 4 kids, cooks a lot, takes lots of amazing pictures and is pretty funny, IMO.

Huh. I got it--thanks! These new-fangled computer thingies are just the tops, kids! ;-) I thought that each blog had to have a little button on it that said "subscribe to rss." I didn't realize I could just do that add subscription thing. I have about 20 blogs to follow now-fun!

There are so many money-saving blogs out there that I love, but some of my favorites are:http://www.thesimpledollar.com/(I used to love this guy who got himself out of a mound of debt, but a few months ago, he really ticked me off by buying a brand new Prius on credit because he didn't have the cash. So he lost some credibility, but it is a really great site).http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/I really love this blog as well. From here, you can find hundreds of other money blogs. All very interesting!
