Annie Le's (Yale Student) tragic death

Any sort of news of a someone being murdered is very sad. But somehow, this one really hits me and i have been rather sad by the news.  No, I do not know her nor am I related, but I think it's because she was a week away from her wedding that really struck home with me. Since I am going to get married i have  all the emotions and excitement of starting a new chapter of my life...having children, growing old with my future hubby..etc. All these things that I am excited for, I can imagine she was too...and then it was abruptly taken away from her.  I cannot even fathom the pain that her family, friends and of course fiance is going through either.Since people on this board are also in the process of planning their wedding...does this story hit close to home with you?

I did think about how sad it was and how I would feel if something like that happened to FI.  I then quickly quit thinking about it b/c it makes me feel like crying. =(  I can't imagine what they're all going through and I hope to never have to know.

It totally did for me too! It is so sad, she really had an amazing life ahead of her.... Its good to know that others were struck by it too.

i want to be a csi (like i read tons of forensic science books), so i've been thinking more about how someone committed such a crime in a public building with cameras and everything. at least they'll be able to bring her killer to justic. but yeah, her disappearance was a topic of conversation at my bridal shower last weekend. speculation about runaway bride or murder.

I found this very sad too, especially being that she was getting married so soon...I feel so sad for her family and, of course her fiance who was planning his future with this woman and he lost her so tragically!  Okay...starting to get a little emotional, need to think about something else.

I've been following this story closely since the initial news - it's so tragic and I'm so sad for her family and friends. It makes me think about how lucky I am to be here today. A constant reminder that we need to be thankful for every day we have with the people we love.

I also felt heart ache - how unfair it was that I got to experience my wedding and I'm still here today, and yet she had her life taken away from her right before her own wedding... bleh too many emotions

I'm just waiting to hear how this all plays out. My initial thought was that she was either having an affair with a colleague who grew increasingly jealous as the wedding got closer or had a love-struck stalker. Most people usually don't just have normal lives then kill someone random one day.
