Alterations

Hi I purchased my wedding dress at Davids Bridal in Toledo and need to have some alterations done. Does anyone know if it is cheaper to go somewhere else besides Davids Bridal for alterations?

    I don't know if it is cheaper as I had my alterations done at David's Bridal, but I just wanted to say that DB did a great job on my alterations.  I know they often are criticized, but I had a great experience.  Marguerite did my alterations.Pam Thomas and Jane of Jane's Perfect Fit are two independent seamstresses that are often recommended on this board.  They are in Maumee and Waterville, respectively.

    I believe that it is cheaper to go to an independent seamstress rather than David's Bridal, at least based on the quotes that I got. I ended up going with Pam Thomas (419-893-GOWN) and she was FABULOUS. Great work, very reasonable prices and she's so wonderful to work with. I also purchased my veil and tiara from her at a discounted price. :)
