Is this dweeb behavior?

I want to pre-order the Susan Boyle CD.I think she has an incredible voice - and just listened to her new single, "Wild Horses" on you-tube.I'm not much into music - but my car stereo is tuned into WDVE.I love the Dropkick Murphys, Celtic Woman, Phantom of the Opera soundtrick  and the Peanuts Christmas Show soundtrack.

Does it really matter? Dweeb behavior often is fun behavior.

Yeah - my music taste just runs all over the place! My son got me hooked on Dropkick Murphys several years ago.  If he ever gets married, we are doing the Mother/Son dance to a Dropkick tune.  :)Shannon - yeah, being a dweeb has never really bothered me.  I know that I march to the beat of a different drum and kind of like it that way.So - is anyone else want the Susan Boyle CD?  ;)

My music taste also runs all over the place, but I honestly can't say that I'm going to buy her CD. However, I do have the Peanuts Christmas Show on my IPod. It's one of the things that I have to keep skipping past on shuffle.

My car is tuned to WDVE as well, I enjoy their morning show on my short drive to work, and they usually have good music on my way home.

Well there goes the one and only Christmas gift idea I had for you, Shannon!  ;)And I meant to write, "So, does anyone else want to buy the Susan Boyle CD?"  in my last post.I kind of scrambled up my words.

Jamie,My husband has been a huge WDVE fan for the 27 years I've known him.I finally made the switch about 3 years ago.  I had always listened to Hot 101 in Youngstown.

I never used to like WDVE, my dad would put it on in the car when I was in my teens and I always thought it was very off color at times but I think it's toned down A LOT, so I listen to it now lol.  Did you hear the Pittsburgh kid in the Spelling Bee skit?  I loved it!

Jamie,I think the morning show has definitely toned down!  I remember yelling at my husband to switch the channel when our kids were little. And yes, that Pittsburgh kid in the spelling bee spiel is hilarious!

I'm glad I'm not the only one...I wasn't sure if it was just because I got older that it didn't seem as bad LOL.

No, it's definitely not as raunchy!  It was really bad back in the late 80s/early 90s!

I just want to say that I think it's awesome that you listen to the Dropkick Murphy's.

Awww.. thanks, Nancy.I really, really like them.Back in 2004 or 2005, they had a concert in the Pittsburgh area - at a small venue.  My son was only 15 and couldn't drive, so I was going to take him and one of his friends. But it ended up being the same night that my daughter was inducted into a Psychology Honor Society at Pitt, so we couldn't go.

I can't even count how many times I've seen them. They were just here in June @ Gravity in Cheswick, like 15 minutes from my house. They always put on a great show! You and your son will have to catch one someday!

No!  I didn't know they were in Cheswick in June! But my son was working in Ocean City all spring and summer, so we couldn't have gone anyways. :(I can only imagine the intense energy they have while performing live.

that's so awesome pam!FI keeps insisting that the following year we will be spending st patty's day in boston at the dropkick show. so far, he has yet to follow through on this, but one day, when we have the $$, it will happen. for now we have to catch them on the warped tour every other year. though lately we seem to be catching the flogging molly years, and we'd rather catch the dropkick years!
