I didn't want anything too crazy so we just had a get together at my house and ate tons of great food, played some silly bachelorette games, we baked a penis cake and took pictures with the penis cake. Then at about midnight we decided to go to one of those places where you can get a little karaoke room with couches and microphones and tambourines and we just drank and sang karaoke. It sounds a lot lamer than it actually was, I had the best night and all the girls stayed the night at my house so it was like a big slumber party. I had a great time. I did not want nasty greasy strippers in my face or going clubbing or anything like that.

I wanted to ask the same question. the problem I have is that my sister who will be in my wedding party will only be 20, so we can't go hang out at a bar because she wont be old enough. I do not want the whole club seen a nice lounge or bar would have been ok with me but my sister would be able to partake if we did something like that. I really like the idea from the PP that sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I live in an apartment though, so it may not be large enough. Eww, I definately did not want gross greasy strippers either! I mean it may work for others, thats just not my thing. Sorry I couldn't be much help to you. If I can think of anything else I will let you know!

My FI and I are having a joint party. We haven't really decided as to where, though. As for missmerla, you mentioned that you wanted the bar scene-I'm not sure how you feel about the bonham exchange, but as long as you're 18 with ID, you're allowed to get in-and of course people over 21 are allowed to drink. Just a suggestion! :)Where did you get the karoake room?! That sounds like SO much fun futuremrs.huff!

We are doing Brunch at La Madeline and then going to the Spa at the Massage school out near I-10, I'm not sure what it's called, my awesome bridesmaids are planning everything and I've totally left everything up to them. The prices are great for everything there, I'm definately going to be pampered and it will be the week before the wedding, so it will be great. Then we are going back to one of my Bridesmaids houses for the Lingerie shower.

Mine was in Austin. We all had dinner at the Melting Pot, then went out to the bars. It was a little strange there because you run into a TON of other bride-to-be and grooms-to-be. Regardless, we had fun!My friend's bach started out with dinner and then went over to a place called The Shades of Love over on Bitters/281. We took a class called "How to Strip For Your Man" and it was so, so fun! Her sis was only 19 and she was allowed to come. They even let you bring in food and drinks. I think if you have enough people, it's about $10/person. It sounds awkward, but it was actually really fun....I'd totally do it again!

Sorry I'm a little late on the response, but the Karaoke place was right off perrin beitel and harry wurzbach. I forgot the name of it I just know where it is. It's $20 an hour for the room and I think they take all ages. It was awesome!

Although this was not my post and I kinda stuck my nose in, I just wanted to thank you all for sharing...I was really worried about this, so I think we may just look into the karoke room! Thanks again!
