Which vendors do you not like

I was just curious in all this wedding planning fun if anyone had met with any vendors that they really didn't like at all and why. I must say I had one the other day. I met with Primizie for catering whom I had heard very good things about and was excited to meet with. Well, they have a new caterer (Patrick). He and I did not click at all. I didn't feel like he was listening to me at all. And I didn't really think he was getting what I was wanting. That wasn't so bad and I probably wouldn't have thought much about it except, hey they're not for me until I got his proposal today. The total was over $17,000!!!!! it did include rentals. but man had i not already been lying down due to a back injury I would have fallen over. That was so way beyond what he was told my budget was plus they included all these coordinating fees when I have a wedding coordinator whose already doing those things for me. I was just like hahaha ummm no. I was just wondering if anyone else had experiences like that with vendors they met with.

I can't say we haven't liked any of the vendors we have met with, but there are some that just don't get what you want because they are not listening. We had the same initial experience with a caterer we looked at - we told them our budget and when they came back with the quote it was over twice what we told them we could spend. I think it's good to keep in mind that you really should go with your gut instinct - if you don't feel like they are listening to what you want or share in your vision - they probably aren't/don't. Even if they meet your budget, you won't be happy with the service.
