  I'm using that color for my wedding, but I'm pairing it with black and white damask. While I was searching though, I though lime green looked pretty neat! Brown and fuschia are two other colors that could be cool.

  I was going to do brown and Tiffany blue......... people told me it was played out and I listened.   DON'T listen to others do what you want. I like it with brown

  I would pick colors that go with your venue.  While I love robins egg blue with a lot of different colors, I think you should pick the ones that go with your venue.  My personal favorite is the white and black damask with accents of the robins egg blue. My personal advice, don't just pick a color scheme, try to pick an actual theme for the event.  Sometimes when you focus on the colors, it comes out too matchy matchy.

  I am doing a vintage autumn theme- so brown, coppery orange and accents of robin's egg blue. October wedding so the autumn theme is obvious- flowers, dress color, etc. I am picking up the blue in our STD/invites, our ring pillow, our Jr BM flower pomander and other goodies of which more info will be leaked out closer to the date. Lots of luck! Oh, and I think I pulled this off Snippet & Ink a few days ago...

  I also agree with it complimenting your venue. Have you chosen a venue? to me, pink doesnt really put me in the mindset of young. But even if it does, it's all about what you want and what you like. You can minimize the pink and just have a "touch" of oink. You don't even have to have bright pink, you can tone the pink down to a pastel pink as well.

  I do love bright pink! I have picked my venue-it is at a yacht club. So by complimenting your venue...what you suggest? A more nautical theme?

  No it doesn't have to be a nautical theme.  What colors are in the venue?  What colors are on the walls, the carpet, the chairs, etc?  If you wanted pink robins egg blue and pink, attached is a link to a picture of a table on stylemepretty...http://www.stylemepretty.com/2009/09/11/calling-all-new-york-brides/.Basically, you want to compiment the venue your reception is at, not contradict it.  People always try to force their color scheme in a room that just does not go, or they spend tons of money changing the room to fit their color scheme.
