Venue: Livermore wineries??

Does anyone have any personal recommendations for a livermore winery reception venue? I've been on here comes the guide, and been to a lot of wineries out there, but I want to know if anyone has been to any livermore winery weddings and really enjoyed the venue? or is anyone using a livermore winery venue for their wedding? We are looking for something one the more rustic, relaxed, and slightly more affordable side of wineries...thanks!

I'm getting married at Wente and Legal Eagles is getting married her in a couple weeks at their sister property. We can answer any questions you have about those. What my fi and I did since we also wanted affordable and livermore winerys is I google about 4 wineries that offer weddings we spent a saturday afternoon and looked around talked to people and got recommendations. It was fun we got some nice wine tastings too.

We went to Mitchell Katz and it was a beautiful wedding. Thank god the reception was in the wine celler because it was 105 outside.

I just went to a wedding at Wente (last weekend actually).  It was pretty but it was so cold outside!  The ceremony was set for 6:30pm and I had already been freezing for some time.  They had to move the dancefloor inside too.  The chicken was amazing and the bar did a really nice job.  I was not the actual photographer but just a guest and the lighting kept going in/out, in/out, hard to get a good shot.  Good luck!

I'm getting married at the Martinelli Event Center - Garre Winery next year. I really love our venue and the price is quite affordable compared to wineries in Napa/Sonoma.When I was doing my search, I visited Wente, Casa Real, Palm Event Center, and Deer Ridge wineries and would say that all of them are lovely.I've heard of McGrail winery also which is supposed to be affordable.

I'm getting married at The Palm Event Center (formerly Mitchell Katz Winery).  It might not be rustic, though.  Check it out - Clay, the manager, is awesome!  I'm going tomorrow to stop in to see another wedding setup and Clay has been overly accomodating with us doing so.

I think that Murrieta's well might be something you would be interested in . It is the sister property of Wente like the other posts said. I am using it as my venue next summer, and it has that rustic feel. Casa Real and the palm event center are nice also. Mcgrail winery use to do weddings in their barrel room when they first opened, but now the produce more wine and it is no longer available. So your option is to use a back patio with a tent. They are reasonably priced, but the tent is extra. I know that Rios Lovell also does weddings. They are reasonable, but haven't always had the best reviews. Their wine is no bueno, but the champgne is awesome!! It all depends on what you are looking for. Good luck.

I am getting married at Murrieta's Well in Livermore (Wente's sister property) next Saturday (eek!) and have been really pleased with everything so far. The food from Wente is fantastic, The well is rustic but still really elegant. It was $2000 to rent(including tables, chairs for ceremony and dinner, linens, glassware, flatware, dishes, etc). for a Saturday night with a 75 person minimumm (110 max) and $8000 food and beverage maximum. I'll have a better review for you when I return from my HM on 10/1/09. Feel free to email me then (otherwise i mgiht forget) for questions and photos: alexandmolly at yahoo.com

Ok so I might a little biased growing up in Livermore and being surrounded by weddings since I was little (mom was a baker), but I love Rios Lovell winery in Livermore. Also depending on your budget Poppy Ridge is gorgeous too.

We were married at Garre Winery (May 23) - in the Oak Tree/Pavilion section. It was gorgeous and our guests loved the setting. Garre (and Jacquelyn) perfectly worked with us on almost anything and personalized so many things even up to the last minute. We were very happy with them. Even though they aren't very cheap, they had much more reasonable pricing than other venues in the area and the South Bay that I looked at.
