Re: Nicollet Island Pavillion Question

  • I think there's some info on Saint Paul Parks & Rec page :-)

  • I don't think you'll find stuff on this on the St. Paul Parks and Rec page actually since it is a Minneapolis space.  SSaltzman, are you thinking of the Como Pavillion maybe?

Here's the link to the Minneapolis Park board page.  It doesn't have the price for renting the pavillion but a lot of the other spaces are listed and the pricing may or may not be consistent.

  • Might've been Minneapolis :-) I remember some info on it being there a while ago, maybe not anymore.

  • Nicollet Island Pavilion is a very pricey venue. If I remember correctly the f/b minimum for a Saturday wedding is $14,000. Plus you need to rent chairs etc.  It is beautiful though!

  • Yeah, your total cost for a Sat wedding is a minimum of $20,000, with all their fees.  I really wanted to have my wedding there, but once I realized the limitations and fees, I decided it made more sense to do it elsewhere where we could enjoy our day with more people.

It's a beautiful space, and if it's in your budget, I highly recommend it.  If you can do a Friday night or Sunday wedding, the FB minimum goes way down, unless it's a holiday weekend.
  • The women (Teresa) that does the food and runs that site is very rude and hard to work with.  She will nickle and dime you on everything and nothing is up front.  Though the location is beautiful, I do not think it is worth dealing with her.
  • Thank you all for the info. It's not for me, I am helping a good friend of mine plan her wedding. She is having it on friday july 5th, 2013. I am going to call today just to see the price.

Do any of you know of a similar type of location, they want to get married outside and have the reception in the same location. They want everything outside and/or under a tent. They originally wanted to just rent someones backyard or a local park and bring eveything in, but we are getting no where with that. So I found this place and she fell in love with it.... So if any of you have any sort of info, it would be greatly appreciated
