I know this was a totally weird time to think of you, but anyway... Last night I had just finished my workout and walked into the locker room. There were 5 older women (think 60+) standing and sitting on the benches having a conversation and they were completely naked. Call me crazy, but I've never seen my best friends naked, much less stood around and had a totally casual conversation with them that way. I hope I never get to a point in my life when I do that either. Anyway, just thought you would find that amusing.

    I hate the naked old ladies in the gym locker room.  I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly happy for them.  Because, you know, it takes a lot of self confidence to be that happy and comfortable with your old naked self.  But I'm not comfortable with your old naked self.I had a college roommate who walked around our dorm room naked post showering.  I wasn't comfortable with that.  Maybe I'm just a prude.

    OMG what is it with old women and being naked??  After my kickboxing class on Weds there was an older woman in there changing and she was wandering the lockerroom naked - she went to the bathroom, washed her hands, got some stuff from her locker for the shower...all of this naked.  She walked right by the goddamn towels and just kept going!  ATTENTION OLD LADIES: WE DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR NAKED WRINKLY TACO.  PUT A DAMN TOWEL ON.  THANK YOU.

    Salt, my MIL said the same thing about her gym!  She's 62 and all the older ladies who are in the water aerobics class walk around naked in the locker room and it freaked her out.  Hahaha, I guess when you get older you just get more free and easy about that stuff!

    I've come to the conclusion that Salt & Nugget attend gyms at nudist resorts. It's the only explanation.

    I was in the changeroom a few weeks ago and I turned around right as an old lady, butt naked and fancing away from me, at that moment decided to bend from the waist down to pick something up. NOT A VIEW I WANT.

    I'm really wondering if at some point in my older age I'm going to suddenly feel the need to walk around naked in front of strangers. I've never been particularly prudish and I still feel so uncomfortable around random naked people. I have never seen one naked younger person in those locker rooms either. They are always very old and shriveled.

    I grew up dancing, and danced through college.  There was lots of nakedness in the dressing rooms too.  It was never my cup of tea... but I was certainly the minority.Old women and dancers???

    My 4 year old took swim lessons this spring at the local YMCA. He had to take a potty break during the lesson, so I took him into the women's locker room to pee. There was a naked old lady in there. He looked at her as said (very loudly): "Mommy, why is that grandma naked?". I died.

    Manda - yep, my first week.  It actually went good.  I did the 2 hour workout on Tues and then an hour workout on Weds.  I was sore both mornings and on Thursday, but I think I'll be okay going forward.

    hahaha Salt, I completely overlooked that.There are actually two "clothing optional communities" within 30 minutes from my job. I suspect some of my co-workers have skeletons in their closets.

    There's an older, very heavy lady at the Y who routinely stands stark-a$$ naked in front of the full length mirror blow-drying her hair.  Arms up, fluffing her mane.  Ewwwwwww.

    Shan, I'm with you on the dancers part. In my troupe we see each other in various stages of undress and nobody cares. That said, I don't even shower at the gym, let alone walk around naked. While I'd not think twice with my dance troupe, I know in public it's a whole 'nother level and people aren't comfortable with that. There is a time and a place!

    Ick, they do this at my gym too. But it's not just the old ladies, it's pretty much everybody except me -- I wear a beach cover thing after I get out of the shower because really, nobody wants to see it.

    My gym has four community (open) showers and four stalls with curtains. I always use a curtain stall, the old biddies use the community showers. Nobody needs to see an old lady try to shave her legs.
