Riviera Maya anyone?

HM budget has been cut back, so no more bahamas.  We are thinking Riviera Maya though.  Anyone been?  FI is drooling over Grand Palladium.  Anyone been there, and if so can you tell me the difference between the 3?  Any other Riviera Maya recommendations?

    We just came back from Valentin for the second time.  Great resort, no kids, excellent restaurants (9 of them).  Staff is fantastic and rooms are all nice no matter what level you book.  They have some great deals.  Check out TripAdvisor dot com for reviews.  We booked it once using Bookit and the second time through Amex and got great prices including air, one free room catagory upgrade and spa credits.  Its only been open since April 2008, so it is in great shape and really well tended to.

    Yes to Secrets of Capri. I would go back in a heartbeat.

    We went to Tulum for a DW in May and it was GORGEOUS!  Secluded, beautiful and everyone was amazing.  Thinking about going back for our HM because we loved it so much.  It's also much more affordable than a bigger place like Cancun.  Then again, I'm not much for big AI resorts; everything in Tulum is pretty much an eco-resort.

    We are headed to Secrets maroma Beach- I went snorkeling there last yeat and it has fantastic reviews!!!!!!

    Went to Dreams Puerto Aventuras at the end of the swine flu panic in May with FI.  Great deal because it was the off season and the swine flu panic!!!  It was a fun vacay.

    I love the Mayan Rivera.  it is beautiful.  We have been to mexico 3 times and he proposed there.  We have stayed at a resort and they are gorgeous.  We normally go see all the Mayan sites.
