I was searching for fitting Bible verses for the wedding, and I came across this wedding planning chat site in the UK. I started reading random threads just to see what our brides across the pond had to say, and I found this thread: http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/chatroom/topic/240766 Notice the multiple poems, and apparently no problem putting this stuff on the invitations. All I could think while reading it is "Wow, the P&E ladies would have a field day with this" -- so I thought I'd share!

yeah that's ridiculous... Even if it were "OK" to ask for cash (here), I don't think I'd ever have the nerve to be so presumptious as to put it on a wedding invite

Dear lord, that many money-asking poems exist??a few friends have gone down this road and everyone bought them stuff anyway that they had to return half of it and that was really awkward for them. THAT was the awkward part? Good grief.

I live in the UK and went on you and your wedding for awhile. The posts pissed me off and after getting flamed a few times for saying asking for money is rude I stopped looking at the forums. Now I just enter contests.
