This was on the news

Who knows how "free" it is, but maybe worth looking into for those who feel they can't fund wedding. I'm sure there are some knotties don'ts (fish bowl centerpieces or not getting married if you don't have the funds...but IMO its a nice gesture ) http://www.fox8.com/wjw-free-wedding-txt,0,2700397.story

http://www.fox8.com/wjw-free-wedding-txt,0,2700397.story  Hopefully this works. you have to take the <br> out of her url. The knot mysteriously adds that for some reason.

It is very nice article and thing to offer. Their are plenty of people out there can't afford a wedding and this allows them to get married. Isn't that the point in the end??On that note.... since when is it a knottie "don't" to have fish bowl centerpieces?? I don't see anything wrong with that and I think this was rather rude and offensive. Everyone has their own ideas and this is not the place to put up comments that are rude. Worse off not the place for putting down others who are not as fortunate.Next time post the article and skip the rude comments!

I live right by this Celebration Church. They have a banner on the outside of it facing Rt 8 that says freechurchweddings.org I think it's great, because most churches you have to be a parishoner in order to use the church.

katyms7, Your response to Rebeccaaa is quite rude. Her posting the article and saying their might be some knottie don't and listing two possible examples does not equal rude. It's not like she posted it as a wedding don't for on a thread about Fish Bowl Centerpieces. A general "don't" in my book is being catty for the sake of being catty.

Fish bowl centerpieces are considered a "don't" on this website. The idea of using live animals as decoration is not something that goes over well with a lot of the ladies on the knot. The OP wasn't being rude, she was saying "look at this nice gesture, even if you don't like everything they offer, the gesture is nice".

Thanks to those who knew i intended to be helpful. :) I posted it because I thought it was a positive thing, and thought it could help someone that didn't see the news. The last thing i would do is make any belittling comments about any one's taste or finances. Feel free to ask the P&E board about fish centerpieces...GL

When I first read it, I thought you meant an actual fish bowl (you know, sans the fish) - which is what I used and I happened to love it.  I couldn't understand why that would be considered a "don't"; however, now that you've explained that you meant bowl with an actual fish, I think it makes more sense. lol.  I'm sure there was just some misinterpretation going on!
