I'm in crazy love...

With this photographer.[link]http://jeremylawsonphotography.com/[/link]When you were looking for your photographer, what were some of the first things you noticed/most important things?

Re: I'm in crazy love...

  • Price was most important to us. We didn't look at any photogs above our price range. I liked the photographic style of my photog and the fact that his pictures were of good quality. Others that I saw were not.

  • I don't want no part of this crazy love.

Wouldn't it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?
  • Well, the first thing I noticed was that we were in love with our photographer, too. Actually, our photog is a friend's partner of my H. He only started doing weddings last year, but as soon as we saw his first shots we knew we wanted him. His other work (non-wedding) is amazing and has been featured in places like National Geographic. His wedding pics are also amazing (oohhhh how I wish I could share what we've got back! Must wait until it's not in slideshow form though- he uploaded a slideshow for us yesterday but it features surnames so have to restrain myself from posting here). Anyway, even as a friend, he was one of the pricier aspects of the wedding- but well worth it. You do have to consider your budget, but personally I would not scrimp on photos. I value photography that captures the mood well over that which features posed 'must take' pictures. We didn't do a must take list, just trusted our photog and let him work his magic.
  • *umm I mean H's friend's partner. That makes more sense! haha.
  • Price was important to us.  I was also looking for a specific style- clear, simple photography capturing the day, us, and our family & friends.  No fuzzy "romantic" edges, no weird angles masquerading as art, I can take or leave all the trendy "candid" shots; all I really want is some nice pictures of the ceremony and some lovely portraits.

  • We fell in love with our photog at a friend's wedding - before we were even engaged.  It didn't matter what we had to cut from our budget - we were set on having him!  Luckily, he didn't cost as much as we thought he would.
  • The way they used colour, the way they processed their images, and the moments they covered/captured.

  • Jeremy is a Chicago photographer and is fantastic!  I forget...are you from the Chicago area?
  • I adore my photographers ; style, personalities, This was the first aspect of wedding I started researching.  I fell in love with their photographs and wanted to be captured the same way their brides/grooms and guests were.  I looked at soo many photographers and always went back to them.
