    Winter Park area is close enough where you might be able to get the city line view in the distance.  You might also be able to get a couple of cool shots from a roof top or highest floor of one of the taller condo/apt buildings near Lake Eola.  Too bad the fountain's broken.

    The roof of Star Tower condo. It's really a beautiful view. I'm not sure if you are allowed to go in the building without being a tenant or knowing someone though, but maybe they will let you if you ask. The rooftop of Dynetech is also really nice, but super high so you might be above most buildings in the background. I really like the Church Street Station engagement shoots.

    I like Star Tower as an option, it does have a great view of the city. Also, consider Global Gallery- - Sotheby's and Stirling building downtown...it is gorgeous and they have some lounge furniture outside. HTH!
