Place cards - include titles or not?

Hi all,Just a quick question. Is it traditional to include titles (Ms, Mrs, Dr) on the place cards or not? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!Cheers,Melinda

  • I don't know what is traditional I think it depends on the formality of the reception. We won't be using them. They'll just say Linda and John Davis

  • Match the formality of your invites.

  • I've actually been thinking about that too.  I did the formal thing on the invites, but I think I'm leaning towards no titles for the place cards.
  • Well, never mind.  Mrs. B has spoken and so I shall listen.  : )
  • =-)Guests aren't going to probably care either way but I know I'm very type A about stuff like that so that's why I would choose to match.

  • Thanks. My invitations were very traditional and formal, but mostly because my mom really wanted them that way. I don't want the wedding to be overly "stuffy" but I guess having titles isn't going to make that much of a difference either way in that regard. I'll add them to keep my mom happy. ;)CheersMelinda
  • Yeah, I was the same way with my invites.  I did them formal because that's what "etiquette" said I should do, but now that they're out I'm regretting it.  I want my wedding to be a happy-fun celebration with friends and family, and I'm not really a formal or serious person at all.  Ah well, it'll be fine.
