I have no idea what to get for gifts for both sets of parents? Should I do a gift as a couple or give each parent their own individual gift? I need some help, any ideas?
I'm doing some individual gifts like hankies for the moms, but we'll also probably give our parents a big gift for each of them. Not sure what, though...
we got a hanky for each parent (my parents and DH's mom) from etsy seller mollyandmom- amazing. Then we got earrings for our moms from etsy, a digital camera for his mom, and we signed my parents up for an 8 week mosaic class (they are uber-artsy). My parents absolutely loved taking a class together and doing something creative with tangible results. I don't know what your rents would be up for, but it worked out beautifully with mine.
We did hankies for each parent then got my parents together a trip to the cape for a weekend and his Mom a hankie and gift certificate to granite links golf bc she is really into golfing we got it for her and her friends to go together. They all loved their gifts. My Dad balled his eyes out when I gave him the hankie, it was the sweetest moment.
I'm doing hankies (nice Irish linen from embroiderthis dot com, not embroidered but wrapped with a nice note inside), a CD with all our songs burned on, wrapped in a downloaded CD sleeve I printed and folded... DIY doorhangers.... and a $100 credit toward our photographer's gallery for each set. (I have 3 sets of parents, FI has one.) It sounds like a lot but I tied them together with a ribbon and it is nice and compact for us to hand to them at the RD.
