funny question

Hi,I finally decided on my dress today :) yay!!!!!!!!!! It was one I have wanted but wrote a post awhile back that I wasn't sure about the material being silk. Anyway, I went to look at it again today with my mom and aunt and it looked a whole lot better. ( I think it was a new one) Its like a cinderella dress, so once I put on a big petty coat ( the one with the big wires in it, looks like a hola hoop, not sure what they are called) it was perfect. So my question is, which someone asked me is " can I sit with this on? I am guessing I can but it did make me think! I know its a silly question, but I have been thinking about it. Any help?

i wore a costume that needed the hoop skirt under it so it could have the right affect...every time i tried to sit the hoop would stick up because it hit the chair legs...i pretty much had to stand most of the night...did you try to sit when you were wearing everything???  you do want to be comfortable and enjoy your special day so make sure you try to sit and at least have some idea of how it will feel...so you don't end up like i did..hth

I just bought a ballgown and tried it on with a hoop. The hoop underneath folded up when I sat so I could perfectly. I wouldn't worry about it at all... when you go for your first fitting try to sit with it. If you can't I bought my hoop in N.Attleboro and I guarantee that it is fine. So excited to hear another girl with a big gown... seems like everyone is getting trumpet style these days. Which dress did you get? I got the Brigitte by Maggie Sottero.

The dress I am getting is Karlina Sposa c7602http://www.karelinasposa.com/bridal/c7602.htmI am tiny though, 5'2 and about 100lbs so some people tell me I can wear that dress because I'm so small and some tell me to get something to show off my figure. But, when I think of a wedding I think of a big dress. I went to so many bridal shops and tried on all different kinds of dresses and even though I liked alot, it wasnt what I wanted. I am going back on sat. with my dad so he can see it and put down the payment to order it. So, I am going to try it on again this weekend and try sitting with it on. I have no clue what I did to change my font! SORRY!!!

Beautiful dress, it reminds me of an Eve of Milady I fell in love with when I first started looking. I too am 5'3" and 110lbs and got told the same thing, but I just saw myself in a big ballgown! This is the only chance we have to wear a gown like this. Where is your reception? So exciting when you actually purchase the dress... I just put down the down payment on my yesterday! I'm still smiling :)

Your dress is beautiful! The only thing I wanted different was beading all around the bottom(which was very hard to find believe it or not). I am just so happy that I finally decided on one, nevermind when we go to order it.   :)   I am getting married at Crystal Lake Golf Club on 9-25-2010. It is just about a year away and I am already getting nervous! I feel like I still have so much to do. Where and when are you getting married?

It was hard enough to find a ballgown... So I can only imagine! I am also getting married at a country club: New Seabury Country Club in Mashpee (Cape Cod) on 7-17-2010. I just passed the 10-month mark - so I'm starting on bridesmaid dresses, flowers, and cakes! It's seriously starting to feel so real! I think my colors are misty blue (kinda greenish/blue). However, it'll depend on the bridesmaid dresses -I love so many color combos that if I find a dress in another color I could still change. What are you doing for colors?

I am not sure yet. lol. I didn't really have a theme or colors. But I am having roses. White for me and red in the girls. The centerpeices are going to have one red rose in it. The BM dresses I picked are champagne with black lace on top, but I may change the color to a sage. I like the colors they are, but I want something different. It just stinks that I can't see how they would look in the color I want. How long is it going to take for your dress to come in? I looked at a maggie and they said it would take 9 months to come in. Where did you get your dress from?

It's gorgeous!  Congratulations :)  A wise woman told me not too worry too much and remember the best part comes after the wedding...the MARRIAGE!  A friend of a friend just got married and she was short and had a dress similar to yours but the bottom material was tulle, she was gorgeous in it and one of my friends that went to her wedding said that the dress was soo her, so your personality comes out in your dress choice :)
