Hello, Sarah here. Former WNYer, I live in Seattle now and am having my wedding in Florida, but am planning a party to celebrate it in Buffalo for August 2010. Most of my family is in the southtowns, so I was thinking about having a reception for 50ish people at Root 5 restaurant in Hamburg. I haven't eaten there in 3-4 years though. Has anyone who has been there in the last year or so have anything good/bad to to say about it? It used to be good, but I know sometimes places change. I have some back up ideas, but I like the waterfront location and their banquet prices are reasonable. Respectfully, please don't suggest Shanghai Red's.... it has great ambience, but the food IMO has always been blah at best. Thanks in advance for any help, ladies!
