I'm kinda in love with the futuristic sink faucet. My water bill would be super high b/c I'd have to demonstrate it to everyone and maybe play with it all the time. I'm sure this bespeaks to my maturity level, but I don't care!
Well DH and I are on the same maturity level as you then, V. Last month at Son's birthday party we dragged everyone in there and demonstrated. And there will be people here on Sunday for DD2's party who weren't able to come last month, so they'll get the grand tour as well.
We're very proud of this room. We did it all by ourselves and it was HARD.

So far so good. I'm still a little skeptical but the guy who sold it assured us it was fine for a bathroom.
I just make sure to dry up all the water after I bathe the girls. However, I did drop a screwdriver and scratched it. A wax crayon hid it well.

You both did a great job, and I give major props to be able to do this yourself. Any other projects in the works? I think y'all probably have the bug now.
The next project is to paint the living room. That's really all that needs to be done. But we won't be doing anytime soon. We're both so busy we don't have even a weekend to paint.
But yes, this stuff is fun. Our kitchen was brand new in 2008, so we won't do anything to it for a long time.
please come down to texas and redo our master bath. you'll get the extra bonus fun of pulling up carpet.
everything looks great!!! we have a little faucet bit that has the LEDs that does blue for cold and red for hot - from Think Geek. We played with that all the time.
both of our full baths have carpet everywhere except directly next to the tub and toilet. the sinks are shaped like seashells. I guess that's what was "in" when our house was bulit in 87. The previous owners had a nice kitchen / lower level remodel, but never made it into the bathrooms. i really like the tiled wall cutout with the candles, too.

Some during pics:
Original vinyl tile under current vinyl tile
Working on plumbing, but mostly so you can see the disgusting vanity in the background.
Pre-grout
Love the tile.
Super awesome 4-function shower panel
New vanity with vessel bowl and LED faucet
Blue for cold
Green for warm
Red for hot
New recessed shelf - we made it bigger, tiled the back, and used a piece of black granite for the shelf to match the vanity.

Carpet in the bathroom sounds dreadful, Barbie. But I like a challenge. I'm on my way!
When I was a kid we had carpet in the kitchen and bathrooms but hardwood everywhere else. Oh, 1970s. You so crazy.

I have carpet in my master bath. I hate it. I'd love to rip that sucker out and redo that bathroom but that's a long ways off.
