Reception at Shenandoah Clubhouse- Turning Stone Casino

I'm thinking about doing my reception at the Shenandoah Clubhouse at the Turning Stone Casino. Does anyone have an experience here, good or bad, that they can share with me and help me with my decision?

Im getting married at the Turning Stone in 33 days!  I recommend booking it soon because the Shenandoah books fast!  I have been to a wedding there before and it is a beautiful place.  My reception is in the Cypress room.  If they had anything available besides Halloween, I would have done Shenandoah in a heartbeat!  Wherever the reception is at the Turning Stone, they do a beautiful job!  Good Luck and keep us informed!  Let us know if you have any more  questions!

Getting married there next July.  Can't wait!  I just started planning so  I can't tell you much as of now.  So far, so good.  It is a little pricey and there are minimums you must meet - for a friday it is 150, Saturday 200 people.  Can't wait to hear your wedding reviews ladies and hopefully see some pics!  Have a wonderful wedding - enjoy the day!

My wedding is August 6, 2010 in the Shenendoah Clubhouse.  I went there again tonight and I just love it soooooooooooo much! It is a beautiful place.  Question...Is anyone doing their rehearsal dinner there? If so where? Also have you ever checked out the club Lava there?  It seems like a cool place for drinks after the rehearsal dinner.

Hey ladies!  Jettie, can you remind me what the colors are of the ballroom in Shenedoah?  I totally didnt pay attention when I was there and now I am trying to plan from New Jersey.  I thik the chairs had a kinda weird red pattern, right?  I was thinking about possibly chair covers, although this seems to be an unneccesary expense. We are doing the whole thing there.  THe vast majoirty of our guests are coming from the NJ/NYC area and will be staying at the lodge/tower for the weekend.  I think we will do a rehearsal dinner, but not sure where.   I can tell you that the Italian restaurant is very good.  Another poster (was it Barbie?) mentioned that she was having her rehearsal dinner outside on the lawn of the lodge, which I think is a really cool idea.  Barbie, if you are out there, can you give us the details? My only problem with the rehearsal dinner is that we are going to have a ton of out of town guests there the night before the wedding and, as we are paying for the wedding ourselves, cost becomes an issue. This is more so now that you can't BYO.    I was thinking about doing some sort of cocktail party followed by hitting the casino! We are also dong our ceremony on the lawn as well.Haven't been to Lava.  The website looks cool.  I bet this would be fun for an afterparty.

Hey Leah! The chairs are like a burgundy pattern.  I would recommend the chair covers, but if its way over your budget its not a huge deal.  Here is a link with the uncovered chairs. http://www.backtalkband.com/TurningStoneWeddingpic.jpg
