Officiant

My fiance and I don't have a church that we belong to as of yet and we have no idea who is going to perform the ceremony. Any suggestions on where to find someone? You could use retired judges. You can call the courthouse and ask them for a list of officiants in your area. Good luck!

You could use a notary or a justice of the peace!

Some people may think this is odd, but what about a friend or relative? My older brother is getting ordained (you can do it online) and he'll marry us! Just check with your county to make sure it's legal and valid (I'm not sure if it varies by state or county - we just called someone at the county level).

My officiant is a firefighter we know who got ordained several years ago. Ask around... really random people are ordained for all sorts of reasons. If you're in the Mobile area, I could recommend my fireman to you!
