When Is It too Much?

Ok...so as I am thinking of all these ideas, I have come to a stop to think how do I know if it is TOO much color???

I know that we all want our deco and all of that to match and all but when is it too much?

Here is what I am thinking...

Candy Buffet (in wedding colors...I think)
Lounge Area (White Linen with pops in the purple and lime green  like flowers, ribbon, etc)
Tables (Centerpieces and runners in purple and lime green)
Possible Uplighting inside reception space (purple and lime green)

Is this TOO much or is this safe???

There may be other things that I cannot think of right now.

Well I think that on certain stuff you have to do one color only...for example lighting it would look nice only purple. So that it doesnt look like everything is purple and green. That should tone it down and not look busy. HTH GL

I agree with the PP.  Pick one color as the major color and have most things in that color.  Perhaps you can do several different shades of purple to mix it up, then use pops of lime green.  Purple flowers and table runners with lime green ribbon.  Maybe make the head table with a lime green runner for contrast.  One color for the uplighting or else it will make people think they're at a disco.  Both colors for the candy.
