  Definitely check University of Cincinnati's CCM for live music, good work and a lot less money.

  Any idea how much CCM charges per hour for a 3-piece jazz band?

  I'm not entirely sure what the jazz bands would cost. I looked at a string quartet for around $600 for three hours if I remember right. Here's the link to their request thingy:

  Yes!  Check out Lizz and Rex Club Combo.  We had them play for our cocktail hour, dinner and dancing--they were AMAZING!  They are out of Dayton so a bit cheaper than other bands in Cincinnati.  Below is a website where you can listen to their music.  I believe the price ranges on the site show the prices for different numbers of hours and performers so definately check in with them on the specific price for what you want.  You can tell them that Hope and Craig recommended them.

  They are bigger than 3 but Second Wind is great.
