Reception Party Location

Hi ladies...My FI and I discussed getting married at City Hall and having our parents as our witnesses. We want a small non formal but still classy cocktail party afterwards. We thought of having an open bar instead of a sit down dinner and just an obscene selection of hor'dourves. We want to get married on a Friday so it would be like almost like a happy hour vibe. I have no idea how to begin to plan for this...Ideally, we would like to book a restaurant or even a small venue. Any ideas? East valley pref. Thanks in advance. PS I'm new here! :)

Just wanted to say welcome and congratulations! I'm not from the phoenix area so I can't really give any suggestions-but I have heard of Sassi and the Old Town Tortilla Factory.

We did something similar on the roof of the Hotel Valley Ho in Old Town Scottsdale.

Yeah, I would second the Hotel Valley Ho.  They are a little on the pricey side.  You could also rent out a room at your favorite restaurant, like at Maggiano's.  Renting out a suite at a hotel might work if your party is small enough. That way you could bring in your own alcohol and food.  I'm not sure if you like Mexican food, but the Macyo's near Mill rents out their patio for $200.

Hello and welcome! :-) I am not sure how many people you are planning for, but here are a few suggestions. Olive and Ivy (Old Town S-dale), Kazmierez Wine in scottsdale, the Merc Bar (Biltmore); I have heard that the Clarendon in Phoenix is nice. It is a hotel with a rooftop bar/patio which may be cool. I would also try going onto the yelp website for reviews and suggestions. Good luck!

Welcome! The perfect location would be in Downtown Mesa (East Valley) called Tre Bella. They have a ceremony area and the next area is the reception/ cocktail area. You could do it for a great price. There website is www.trebellaaz.com
