If anyone ordered their dress from Eva's in Orland Park can you tell me how long it took to arrive?I ordered mine last week and they said 6 months. I'm just curious to see if people got them in sooner than that? Or later?? Thanks!
I ordered mine mid-Sep 08 and it arrived mid-Feb 09, so about 5 mos. Of course this also depends on the designer and some other factors, but I'd keep checking around the time it is supposed to come in and make them call the designer and get a ship date at about 5 mos. if you haven't heard anything yet because by then the designer should at least have an estimate.
I ordered mine in July and they told me four to six months. When I asked if I should be concerned (because my January wedding is on the 6 month side of that timeframe) Judy (my sales associate at Eva's) told me no. According to Judy, they routinely tell the manufacturers that brdie's wedding dates are significantly sooner than they actually are in order to ensure that their reses will arrive in time to make the necesary alterations. I got mine two months later than they originally told me. I seriously thought I would have to buy a new dress. I think it was b/c i had ordered it so far in advance (december) for our October wedding. I didn't get it till the end of August. (they told me end of May). I just nicely stalked them, however they did have a week where they had no idea where it was between evas and the manufacturer. It wasn't that great of a process for me, really stressful, but it worked out in the end. If you start getting nervous just start bugging them, it seemed to work in the end. haha
