Hi All...has anyone gotten their alterations done at a bridal boutique? Just trying to figure out how much I should plan on spending on those.

    Thanks so much for your help guys. The sample fit me perfectly, so I"m interested to see how they try to finagle money out of me for the alterations.

    I did mine at the bridal boutique and had mixed results.  I wanted them to do it since they work on wedding gowns all the time, BUT it was $500 (ugh!) and we let the dress out and then took it in several times.

    the bridal shop i bought my dress at charged me $400 for alterations (I almost had a stroke when she totalled it up). WAY more than i had expected to pay, but i new that my dress would come out PERFECT, as the seamstress had done alterations on the same dress numerous tiems before. (there's a lot of lace detailing, so she had to be super attentive)
