Jackson Square Wedding

I also am thinking of a JS wedding! Our isn't until Dec.2010, but trying to plan as much as possible ahead. This is great info you all are sharing! JS seems to be a perfect spot, since we also want our reception at Muriel's. I knew they charged a fee to have your wedding there, but I didn't realize it was that much.Does Muriel's really put out alot of votives, etc? I'm not sure how much to get as far as flowers, etc. Thanks again for sharing with us!

Hey there! I am a south florida bride but I am having a destination wedding in NOLA on May 22nd, 2010. I am doing my rehearsal dinner at Muriels and my ceremony the next day at Jackson Square. Muriels is an expensive place to have anything! But we are doing our reception at the New Orleans Marriott at 555 canal. The room is on the 41st floor of the hotel and has a beautiful view. Plus there packages are all inclusive which means tax and gratuity is already in there price so that helps a ton. Jackson square is only $400 to rent for a ceremony. Hope this info helps you! Good luck

I am so sorry I am so late on this- behind on some wedding planning.  I have so much to tell you about both, probably best through an email, email me and I will fill you in on both- as our wedding is in JS and reception at Muriels. ~magen.hughes@wachovia.com

I know this is really late, but I'm also considering having a reception at Muriel's.  Could you possibly send me the information as well?
    Thanks!

Hi!!  I am planning also to have my wedding in Jackson Square in May of 2011, but worried about the low sun blinding my guests and fiance, not to mention the heat and possible bugs. Sunset is not until 7:45pm so it doesn't look like we'll be in the shade.

Anyone had experience in Jackson Square in May???

We are already way over budget, but we are considering other ceremony options around Jackson Square.  We are thinking of the Louisiana State Museum but they charge the same fee for ceremony as for an entire reception.  Anyone know of a good alternative for about 100 guests?
