Honeymoon registries - did anyone use them?

Hi all,Just curious, for those of you who did a honeymoon registry, if anyone really used it? Our wedding is two weeks away and so far, no honeymoon "gifts". I'm wondering if this is just so new that no one uses it? Or since ours requires guests to write out a check anyway, if they just don't see the point? We didn't register for much on our traditional registry, so just curious. Thanks!

We have a HM registry. We figured since FI and I have been living together for a few years now that there wasn't much our home needed. We do have a traditional registry that is all but completely gone now. Some of our friends have given through traveler's joy, but my mom hated the idea so I think has been secretly campaigning against it. I think it is pretty new still and a lot of my parent's older, less web savvy friends just didn't get the concept. I did have one of FI's friends basically call it tacky to my face too. We'll see as we get into our wedding week next week how it all pans out.

we had a honeymoon registry. We used Honeyfund so the guests could pay online and they get to print off a certificate to give us. We only got 2 honeyfund gifts, but we also only got 2 registry gifts... everyone else gave cash ot gift cards to the places we were registered.

We used honeyfund and a traditional one and most peole used honeyfund. We got almost everything paid for on it. But 90% of people were flying in from the east coast. So everyone liked it for the convince of a destenation wedding, so I think that makes a differnece. Also I told my parents that if any one asked what I would prefer, I told them the honeyfund cause we have been living together for a long time and have a lot of the tradtional items. Most people did not get anything till the week of wedding though. Also a few said they did not understand it so they just put money in a card and wrote what activity it was for on the hoeymoon. A lot of people said they loved the idea of it cause they find it easier then getting a traditonal gift but they still know they are helping give me somthing tangable like a massage on the beach.
