Making a dress from scratch

Hi  there,I really love the "Karalyn" dress in the Vineyard Collection, but I don't love the pricetag!I was wondering if anyone knows of a really good seamstress who might be able to recreate it for me for a decent price? Thanks!

There are 2 places in Annapolis that I visited and I they have beautiful custom gowns there! Lex Bridal and Mary's Bridal Boutique. Not sure what area you live in, but it's worth a shot to call them :)

Maria at Maria's Bridal in Fairfax makes dresses, also check out netbride you might be able to get the exact dress a lot more reasonably (depending on what the price is regularly and what you consider reasonable!)

If you're brave, you can send a picture to some companies in China and they will make it dirt cheap!

I was told the Chinese ordered ones are not worth it because of the cheap quality of the fabric.Check out local clothing designers, seamstresses or anyone who makes pageant dresses.Google search "Kathy Faber" in CT. She makes gorgeous dresses! Mine is about a 1/3 of the rack price and I'm adding my own details. The only downside is the trip to CT for fittings.

I got my dress from a company in China and it was the same fabric they had for the other dress-  You can check out my bio and see the dress it was designed after and the finished product!  I loved it!  if you want the website email me: freckldginger @ gmail
