Volle's Bridal Store?

Hi, I have my 1st dress appt. and chose Volle's in Lake Zurich because they carry the Ella Bridal line. From what I have read it sounds like they are kind of pricey. I don't have my dress budget totally figured out yet (I will by the appt and it is looking like 1,500) but I was wondering if anyone knew how much the dresses there run. Any other input about your experiences there are welcome. Thanks for your help!

I went there for a bridesmaid appointment. It was a nightmare. They don't have a huge selections of anything. I would call if you have a specific dress in mind that you'd like to try because they may not have it. Anyways, we were told "someone will be with you shortly" and 40 minutes later we just helped ourselves and started grabbing dresses and trying them on and like I said, small selection added to the horrible customer service, we decided to go elsewhere. IDK where you are located but I got my dress at Kathryn's in McHenry and they have been awesome! IDK if they carry the line you're looking for but you could call and ask.

I couldn't agree more with the recommendation to try Kathryn's.  My daughter bought her dress there and we were 110% satisfied from beginning to end!

I took the hike out to Volle's for my first dress appointment.  The dresses there are nice, but pretty over priced.  They try to sell you the fact that they have a lower tax rate there.  Depending on where you live, I'd probably recommend you going somewhere close to home.  There are so many bridal salons that range in selection and prices.

I got my dress at Volle's and I totally loved it! I think you need to go when your favorite designer is having a trunk show. When i went there was a trunk show for Maggie Sottero, I prepared and looked up all my favorites online, wrote them down and asked which ones they had. There were TONS of dresses that I really liked. For your 1500 budget you should be FINE. I got my favorite of the bunch and it was about 1300. Their alterations department is great too, very nice and haven't had any problems.

Just go shopping when it's not homecoming or prom season, a lot of highschoolers go there so it gets really busy. But overall my experience has been great! And I'm getting married next Saturday, so far the dress is one of the things I haven't had to worry about. Know I'm in the minority here, but just my experience.

Just realized one of the earlier posts about the poor selection was bridesmaids dresses. Do NOT go there for bridesmaids dresses, the selection is super tiny, completely agree. But don't let that make you think their bridal gown selection is small. But I'd get your accessories somewhere more affordable, I got my veil and a bracelet at DB.

I purchased my gown from Volle's and have so far loved their customer service. That said, I haven't been back yet for alterations (my gown doesn't arrive until February).

A word of warning: they never asked what my budget was, and so the consultant showed me gowns with prices all over the place. Bad idea ... I definetly went over my budget for my gown.

I agree that their BM dress selection is pitiful, but they have a nice amount of bridal gowns.
