Highly recommended from me...see the light show at Fremont Street and take a road trip to Mount St. Charleston if you have the time. It is like 40 mins from Vegas. Otherwise, Red Rock Canyon is great too!

tipsynikki- The i bar is i think 20-25 bucks for non locals and you get 1 drink and 5-8mins inside.  it's not really worth it. ( plus you have to put on their parkas and whatnot which everyone has worn.) Just a heads up.The Wax museumThe erotic heritage museum(not for everyone)If you go to the coke cola world you can do a soda around the world tasting (i think its $10) they give 15 different coke products from around the world.visit Luv its frozen custard, its sooo good!Fremont street, it has the light show and old signs you can take pictures by, also mermaids has fried oreos and twinkies and HUGE choclate dipped Banannas for .99 cents. If you like out doors, red rock is pretty. but its a drive through traffic to get there.I like the white tigers and dolphins at the marige. (its good if you have people under 21)For over 21, carnival court at harrahs is SOO fun. there is a $10 cover after 9 but well worth it. (also at harrah's is toby keiths i love this bar and grill, if you are into that)the effiel tower at the paris is a MUST due, everyone raves about the stratosphere for view but paris is better.and if you time it right you can see the water show.I know there is more...i'll post them if i think of them.

    1) See a Cirque show.  I loved Ka out of the three I've seen.2) Splurge on a killer meal.  So many world class chefs have restaurants there, you have to indulge.3) Brunch at Simons.  SO GOOD!4) Watch the Bellagio fountains at least twice - once during the day, and once at night.5) Check out the art exhibit while you're at the Bellagio as well.6) If you like sports, grab a meal or drink at the ESPN Zone.  I love their booths with the personal speakers.  The game room upstairs rocks too, even though I'm probably biased...7) If you drink, grab a tall one and enjoy being able to walk along the strip with it! ;) Also, if you're staying on the strip, don't waste your money on cabs.  If you get tired of walking, the monorail is a lifesaver.  Best money we spend any time we go.

    1) Have dinner at the Eiffel Tower, the food is out of this world and watching the fountains while you eat is fab too. 2) Have a yard of margarita while you walk the strip! 3) See a Cirque show, we enjoyed Love and O the most 4) Have a photo by the 'Vegas sign!' 5) Go on the NYNY rollercoaster! 6) Walk through Wynn and Bellagio, both really stunning hotels on the inside and out. 7) Take a limo from the airport! 8) Have breakfast at the Wynn buffet, you will not regret it!

Just a heads up on walking the strip with drinks, you can get a huge ticket for this, so if you are going to do it night and a weekend might be better, as there are so many people its hard for cops to stop it. And please do not J walk, they are cracking down on it alot beacuse so many people are being killed by it. Just a heads up.

Alisha I have to agree with you. The worst for us when were there in July was all of the idiots running into the street. My must do when I go back is eat at the Eiffle Tower Resturant again. The food is FAB!

I don't think it's illegal to walk the strip with drinks. If it was I don't think you would be able to buy them so easily on the streets and wouldn't you get stopped every time you left a casino?
  • edited December 2011
it is illegal, we have open container laws as well as public intoxication laws.  They are not hugely enforced on the strip but if there is nothing else going on they will stop you and ticket you or make you toss it. Seen it a million times, mostly during the day on a week day. i guess they get bored. Just because it's easy to get does not mean it isn't illegal.
