Hammock Beach Resort

Does anyone know anything about the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast?  I've seen their website and it looks amazing.  I'd love to hear from someone who has toured this venue before my fiance and I take the hour and 15 minute trip down there.

Any input would be appreciated!

I went and looked at it! Its absolutley beautiful!!!! If I didn't have such a fear of bad weather, I would have booked it on the spot. They have several options for both outdoor and indoor facilities. The people were very nice, and the grounds were perfectly manicured! It also seemed to be pretty affordable. I would def take the time to look at it!

I haven't been to any events at the Hammock Beach Resort but I stayed there and was greatly disappointed.  Food at the resort is very expensive and they very clearly state on their menu that you pay a high premium if you are not a resident of Hammock Beach.  I also found the service somewhat lacking out at the pool.  I know two different families in the rooms by us both checked out early because of the poor service.

When we arrived for check-in (at the correct time), we were told we'd have a several hour wait because the room wasn't ready...apparently we weren't the only ones, quite a few other families got the same welcome.  There was never a day that our room was serviced before 4pm...most days when we came in from the beach and wanted to rest and relax before we thought about getting ready for dinner, our room still hadn't been done.

I think the problem is that the resort is just too big and it isn't managed properly.
