Towers Brides!

I just sent in my deposit yesterday and I had a few questions for anyone that already had their reception there... was parking horrible? Was lack of A/C a problem? Did you do your cocktail hour on the patio, and if so, was it weird having random people walk by? Was 4 1/2 hours enough time to have cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing? Thanks so much girls!

I am having my wedding there next August, but I have attended a couple of weddings there.  So NO AC wasn't really an issue because the windows are all open and the doors to the deck are by the dance floor (where it tends to get the steamiest)  There was a nice breeze off the ocean. If you're really concerned you could always have a fan brought in to cuirculate, but keep in mind they do have the ceiling fans.

Parking is a nightmare depending on when you do it, in the fall I'm sure its not as big of an issue but in the summer it can be.

I'm having my cocktail reception inside I think, i had the same concerns as you did with the random people wanting to see what was going on.  In addition to that, I want to get cocktail/dinner over with so theres lots of time for dancing. Laughing

I had my reception at the Towers the beginning of June. I'm not going to lie--it was hot upstairs. This summer has been unusually warm and even the first weekend of June was warm.  Open the windows from the top and bottom as soon as your caterer gets access. We opened the top too late.  I think it would have helped if both window sections were opened earlier. You never know how the weather will be. No one complained to me and our dance floor was packed regardless. I did the cocktail hour outside and I would never do it differently. I never noticed anyone walking by or bothering us. It was stunning. I'm not a big fan of the cocktail hour being in the same place as the reception(just personal preference) so I was over the moon that the weather permitted for me to have it outside(it was pouring rain the morning of). People are still raving about how beautiful it was to be outside. Parking: we had a lot of out of town guests staying in walking distance hotels so it was not an issue. I never heard a word of it being an issue.  Beach parking should be gone by the time of your cocktail hour (assuming 6pm).  I paid overtime to extend the dancing-totally worth the extra fee. You get the space for 5 hours. The 4.5 hours is for the max time the bar can be open. I paid for an extra half hour so the music stopped at 11pm and people could clear out by 11:30 (the bar shut off at 10:30) I just told people the bar was shutting down so they'd get a last drink beforehand.   Don't wish the dinner/cocktail hour away. It will all be a memory before you can blink!   Good luck ladies!
