Flip flops at Reception

Hi ladies! So we have having flip flops at our reception for all the girls to slip into.  My question is how many did yall order for how many people....I mean I can't imangine but only 1/2 of the girls there wearing them ie my mom's friends not wearing any.  What did yall do or would yall do?  Right now I'm thinking of having around 50 or 60 for about 180 guests. Let me know if yall got one for everyone or less.Thx!

i think you should go ahead and order enough for all your guests. if you're goin hick then don't exclude anyone.

hey lauren - not hick at all, ignore pp!! actually a very cute/nice gesture for everyone who wants to be able to relax and have a good time. im not sure i would buy every guest a pair, i think 50-60 is a good number b/c that is at least half. i am guessing that most of the takers on the flip flops will be females but i could be wrong. we were going to do this but considering i am having a beach wedding that is very laid back and relaxed, i think most will already be in flip flops or sandals so i think my flip flop basket would be pointless.

I had flip flop baskets for my female guests on 9/5/09, I bought about 60 pairs and have about 20 pairs left. I think you are good with the number you are thinking, as much as you think everyone will wear them, not everyone will.

I don't think flip flops at a reception is really considered "hick"...I haven't heard anyone in NC ever use that term (I thought it was "redneck" here)...I thought hick was a northern term. Flip flops are HUGE in LI weddings and not "hick" at all. I think the number you have is about right. I had about 28 pairs for my 70 guest wedding and I only had about 5 pairs left over (all small sizes) but I know for a fact people were taking extras home.
