Picking up my dress tomorrow.....

well I guess now looking at the time technically today!

I'm going to try on the dress, see and learn the final bustle, and bring it back home! :) Here's to hoping I didn't eat too much ham, dressing, greens, sweet potato souffle, etc...(ahhh I need a Thanksgiving redo) lol! :)

    Our thought was if something happened to it at home that it was our problem.  If it happened while they had it, it's their problem.

    We had our second fitting yesterday.  She's lost enough weight that the dress doesn't hold itself up anymore and needs to be taken in.  We have another appointment scheduled for early January.  Then we'll let them keep it until the week before the wedding.  We're also going to have them press it.

    I get to pick my dress up today too!  I lost most of what I gained from thanksgiving, but it was only a few pounds so I'm sure I still would have been okay if I hadn't.  I'm sure you will be too!  :)

    how exciting!  I get to pick mine up on the 29th... hopefully it is perfect then (because we are coming down to the finish line!)

    My last fitting will be at home lol. If I feel that it needs to be taken in some more (which I doubt it will) then I can take it back to my seamstress. I most likely wont try my dress on until Christmas though.

    This is a great idea!  I'm taking mine with me tomorrow to my FI's aunt and uncle's house.  They are driving to our wedding location while we are flying and they have generously offered to bring it with them so I don't have to carry it on the plane. 

    I figure as soon as I get it from the shop I'm taking it to their house so nothing can happen to it at mine.  And so FI can't peak.

    Having something happen to my dress teriffies me. I am such a clean freak about my basement right now. And ironically, FI does not want to peak. He has had many opportunities.

    So has mine! :) He actually picked up my dress from the dress shop and brought it to me so I wouldn't have to make the trip up there.
