Deposits- Caesar's Palace

If you are using Caesar's as your wedding venue, would you mind telling me what your deposit was. When I first contacted them in August, the deposit was $500. I received my contract today and it's $800! That's a HUGE difference, to me. I was prepared for the $500, but now, I may have to wait a few weeks to pay the full amount. Ugh... And does the deposit reflect which location you choose?

    My deposit for the Cleopatra Package was $800. I'm getting married in the garden on a Saturday.

    For the Cleopatra package in the Venus Garden, ours was $500. This was probably 3-4 months ago, so I assume it's been raised recently. That sucks. Maybe you could press for the $500 since that's what you were originally told, but I don't know if that would work...

    I booked mine 15 months ago before the packages changed. That could explain the difference in mine.

    I know they just upped the prices of the packages so maybe the deposits went up as well.  I was looking at the Bella Luna package and the deposit was the full cost of the package -- eeks!  So it would've been $800, which was the price when we were looking a few months ago.

    I thought the price of the packages had come down not gone up? I know we were able to change to a very similar package to our old one for a lot less!Our deposit was $500, but we booked 12 months ago.

    msmogwai--when we first started looking over the summer the price for the Bella Luna was $600 in the chapel and $800 in the garden.  About a month or so ago the brochure on their website was updated and the new pricing is $750 chapel/$950 garden.  Not sure about the pricing for the other packages because I was only looking at that one.  I do remember reading when I was first on here that the packages had come down in price quite a bit but I guess this new pricing is for 2010 or something.

    My deposit for the Cleo package was 500. For the Caesar package it would have been 800.

    My deposit was $500 for the Roman package in the Venus Garden for April 2010.  We booked in April of this year.
    BFP: 1/11/11, Large Cystic Hygroma & heart defect, Lost baby on 3/30/11 at 16w 4d.

    I booked the Classico chapel with the Cleopatra package mid-August and the deposit was $500.

    We are getting marries in the Venus Gardens in April. We did the Roman package and our deposit was $500 and we booked at the end of May.

    Ok... I finally got clarification from JoAnn today and it is a $500 deposit for the Cleo package. It's $800 for the Caesar. I'm glad I sent an email before sending a check because she was looking at the wrong package for us.
