Just set our date; it's less than 2 months away! Need suggestions.

Just set our date- November 14th 2009!  We've got to be insane to tackle this and moving.I already have the dress, need to drop 1 inch on my waist to fit back in to it-- bought it over a year ago.  Bustle & steaming will be complete on Saturday; hopefully  Alterations Express does a decent job with it.  $330 for a bustle & bust darting.  Ladies- think twice about heaving beading on the top & a semi-cathederal train.  It's expensive to alter.  Might need to have it hemmed depending on my shoe choice.  So- #1- who has dress shoes in wide widths available?  I'm thinking go with a punchy fun color.  I live in Euclid now & Eastlake starting next week, close to home is  nice.#2- which downtown hotel has the best package deal for weddings?  We have lots of OOT's.  Ceremony, Cocktail, & Reception is at the House of Blues.  Hyatt Regency and I think Homewood suites by Marriot are really close, and a Holiday Inn Express is down the street, but I don't want to spend my wedding night at Holiday Inn Express-- unless it's better than the average.#3- Salons downtown- Thinking LesAmis based on research done by my sister.  Marengo is another option.  I want hair that's more haute vogue and less junior prom than the average bridal up-do. #4- Where is the best place to buy a veil if I have to get one off-the rack?  I'm a big internet buying fan, and hate paying double in the stores. Anywhere reasonable?#5- What is the average delivery charge for OOT bags?#6- Is there a limo service that does hourly errand-running type stuff?  We don't need one for the whole day- just for us ladies the morning of, and was also thinking of suprising the groom with a shuttle to & from the airport for the honeymoon.#7- Table overlays-  I need a burnt orange and dark fuschia/magenta color.  It seems cheaper to buy than to rent, but I can't seem to find anything other than bright (near pastel) orange and hot pink. I totally appreciate everyone's help-  November 14th seemed so far away when we booked, but now reality is hitting hard.

Congrats Amber! Try Embassy Suites downtown for rooms. Not sure how much they are but I had looked into having my wedding there and the rooms are very nice and clean. Try anythingbridal.com for your veil. I ordered my dress and invitations through them, and I plan on getting my veil there too. Stacey there is wonderful and is saving me lots of $$$. Try Shima Limo. We are using their shuttle to take guests to and from the wedding and hotel. HTH!

I second Shima Limo.  We just used them a few weeks ago for our wedding.  They ran all the girls around to the salon (and an emergency trip to David's) in the morning.  We had a larger SUV limo for the bridal party after the ceremony, a shuttle for the evening, and a car to take us to & from the airport.  Everything worked out just fine. For table runners, I had a difficult to find color too, so I bought fabric & Joanne's (40% off coupon) and made my own. For the veil, you should call Karen Lockwood (440) 734-2680.  She works out of her home in North Olmsted & has a lot of veils there in stock.  One might just happen to work for you.

For the veil, you may want to check out Occanssey Deisgns.  Very reasonably priced compared to the bridal stores and quick to ship.  www.occanseydesigns.com

Veils: I bought mine off-the-rack for something like $50 at Julianne's Bridal Outlet in Olmsted Falls, but it's a consignment shop, so you never know what kind of stuff they'll have in stock. I've heard good things about Occansey (s?) Designs, an online veil seller. Google for the web site. Also, if you don't want anything fancy, there are veil kits available at the craft stores around town. Check Joann's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Catan's, Flower Factory in the bridal aisle.Dress shoes: Mar-Lou shoes carries hard to find sizes in all kinds of shoes, including dressy ones. Not sure how wide you need, but may be worth checking (not cheap though). I believe Payless carries a selection of dyeables in a standard W width.Table Overlays: If you're up for making your own, check out fabric selection at Joann's or even Bilt Rite Fabrics (more of a specialty place) in Northfield. I've not made them myself, but I would think you could even do a quickie job with stitch-witchery and an iron if you didn't want to actually sew them. The store where you purchase your fabric may be able to cut them to size for you and all you'd have to do is hem. OR, for a splash of color on the tables, maybe you'd be able to find placemats in those colors to use under the centerpieces instead. Have you checked dept. stores (Kohl's, Dillards, Macys, Burlington Coat Factory etc.)?Good luck! You still have time to put it all together. Do what you can. Either way, you'll still be married to the man you love at the end of the day -- limo or not, OOT bags or not.  :-)

#1 – check out Target.com online for shoes…that have all sorts of colors and styles not in the stores. My SIL and all the BM (including me) just got fun red shoes for $22. Not sure about wide widths but can vouch for the shoes the BM are wearing – they are true to size and even on the wide side! BM - http://www.target.com/mdp/B0027JERPQ/ref=sc_ri_qi_1? Bride - http://www.target.com/mdp/B002ANOJK2/ref=sc_ri_qi_3? #2 – again for SIL wedding, the best option we found was the Hyatt which is super close for your wedding at The HOB #3 – no help #4 - http://www.occanseydesigns.com/ - I got my veil here as well as a # of knotties…super affordable, build your own approach so you get exactly what you want for less. #5 – most hotels can hold the OOT bags at the front desk and hand over at check in? Not sure otherwise what you are asking about? #6 – may want to check with taxi/shuttle services vs. Limo for this. No help here otherwise. #7 – I get table sheers often at Flower factory but they are an odd size mostly. Cheapest I found was - http://www.efavormart.com/organzaoverlay72x72-17colorsavailable-1.aspx but I dont see your colors. http://www.designerspecialtylinens.com/colors.cfm?category=51&product_id=420&fabric=16 has a burnt orange and deeper fuschia …maybe see where they get them from? Hope this helps!

another vote for the Hyatt.  I had over 50 rooms booked their for my wedding over labor day weekend and everyone LOVED the hotel.  I stayed in a suite there all weekend too and they were very accomodating and helpful.  great rate too. I used Shima limo, absolutely no complaints, they were wonderful, but I think they have a 4 hour minimum (most limo places will) got my veil from www.occasoneydesigns.com too...great price and just what i wanted.

We got married at The City Club (9th and Euclid) and all our guests stayed at that Holiday Inn Express.  We got a great rate and everyone liked the hotel.  It's the most historic HIE I saw advertised on their website.I stayed at the Hyatt in a suite the night before and took our first glance pictures there on the little bridge thing.  Then DH and I spent our wedding night there also. I have some PIB that show the Hyatt.

Thank you everyone for your recommendations!  I'll definately be checking these out.  We are making progress-- picked out my wedding band tonight and are waiting on a sale at Kay's to pick up his.Looks like we're going with American Commodore for tuxes- they have great rates.  I'm even visiting my day-of salon for a haircut tomorrow!  I felt so relieved to find a wedding ring tonight- it's so satisfying to check something off the list.

I typed a huge reply, and then my cat turned off my computer. So if you need more details just ask. I would nix downtown cleveland: it's more expensive for you/guests, the Eastlake area is a nice area, and at night Cleveland gets a bit sketchy. 1. I would just go to Great Lake Mall. Macy's, Jc Penney, Sears, and Dillards. I would also try DSW, and Famous Footwear.2. Some venues that come to mind are: Executive Caterers at Landerhaven, La Malfa (it is holiday inn though), Pine Ridge, Mooreland Mansions at Lakeland (day's inn), Mentor's Senior Center, and Dino's Catering (day's inn, and red roof inn are close).7. I would just use a chair sash as a table runner. It saves you money. I'm getting my line's from linentablecloth.com But http://www.tableclothsfactory.com has more colors for you.
