AW: My Wedding Pics and a?

Hi Ladies!

It's been 78 days since the wedding and I'm finally getting things "organized."  It still looks like Macy's and Bed, Bath & Beyond vomited in every corner of my kitchen and dining room, my wedding dress is still untouched on the guest room bed at my Dad's house, and I haven't figured out how to deal with the fact that I'm allergic to an alloy in my wedding band, BUT- I do have the first draft of my wedding album and wanted to share it with you:

DH and I are going to make several changes since we don't like all the ones the photographer chose, but at least we have a start.  All photos are untouched by the photographer- except the one in which DH's deceased brother has been photoshopped.

For the married ladies, how did you choose your portrait? Did anyone choose a profile view?  Were you able to find "the one" right away?  We can't find one where both us look good.

    beautiful shots.

    As far as choosing the portrait...i narrowed down the photos of him and i and was b/w two...i actually like a different one but we are further away in the shot and i thought it better to have one of us that is closer...so it is the one of us from our first dance

    Awesome album draft! You look so pretty! The day looked beautiful!

    As far as the picture, I don't like the one we decided on for our large picture. It shows off my dress, but it's not the greatest picture / pose. Unfortunately, the only close shots where we are angled toward one another are in the family and bridal party shots. (We don't have one of ourselves) But our thank yous were a card with six pictures on it. So it didn't really matter.

    But we did get some 8x10's that we both like, and look good in, and two were side views. So those are going to framed around the apartment.

    My sister and her husband selected a sunset kiss picture as their 8x11 image. (They keep it in their hallway)

    What are you looking for? An image for thank you cards? Or just for your large picture?

    If it's for yourselves, find a picture (regardless of angle) that you both like.

    If you are looking for your thank yous - find something that encompasses the joy that your day held - It doesn't need to be a formal posed picture that was taking during picture time. It could be a ceremony shot, first dance or cake cutting. The people want to see you, your husband and your dress. Maybe your bouquet, but don't stress if your picture doesn't have that!

    Thanks, Ladies!

    We're mainly stuck on the portrait we want on our wall.  It's hard b/c that's the one we'll be looking at everyday. I am going to have to give myself a deadline and stop being so indecisive.

    The one I don't like will be placed in the living room downstairs. In the bedroom and dining room (which are on the main level) I want to look at pictures I enjoy!

    Good luck! Find a picture (regardless of what the shot is of) that you both love. I'm sure you'll find one that you both enjoy!
