S. America honeymoon recommendations

Has anyone gone to Brazil, Peru, or Argentina who can recommend nice resorts and hotels and any other travel tips. We are looking to enjoy relaxing/romantic beach time, nature hikes, and cultural experiences. Want adventure but safety and basic comforts are a must.

    I second the day trip to Uruguay if you go to Argentina.  I also suggest a side trip to Mar del Plata - beautiful! Buenos Aires is a great cosmopolitan city I highly recommend it.  It is also becoming known for their wine - in a completely different part of the country I believe but could be worth checking into.

    Peru is gorgeous and fun!  I can't speak for the beach there since I don't really consider it a resort destination, but adventure, romance, culture, and fun?  Yes!The must-see places in Peru include Lima to get in and out of the country (stay for a day or two for the nightlife), the Amazon rainforest (lots of beautiful lodges there), Cuzco (my fave city in Peru and the jumping-off point for all things Incan Trail and Machu Picchu) and Arequippa/Lake Titicaca.  You can hike the Incan Trail for 4 days to get to Machu Picchu or do one-day hikes from Machu Picchu itself.  The rainforest lodge where you stay will likely provide hikes, sometimes canopy tours, and lots of time on a boat looking at wildlife and traveling to different locations.  Cuzco is amazing, with great museums, churches, restaurants, and clubs.HTH- let me know if you need more info!  I've also heard amazing things about Argentina but never been myself.

    I lived in Argentina for a year, and it is amazing. Check out the exchange ratio, you can get a lot of bang for your buck. As far as things to do. In the north the Iguazu falls are great. I stayed in a Sheraton there inside the national park. In the south there are many towns you can stay in very affordably and hike glaciers and go whale spotting. I can’t honestly remember if I ever made it to the beach. Mar del Plata is the place to go but a bit touristy.
