Bridal Salon Recommendations

Hi ladies! I'm going to start looking at wedding dresses in the next few weeks and wanted to find out what salons you really enjoyed? I will be checking out some salons by specific designers like Priscilla of Boston, but was curious about other salons with various designers. I'd like to find an upscale salon with great service :-) TIA!!

Terri Lynn Bridal in downtown Bethesda is a smaller bridal salon with a really beautiful and unique selection of dresses.  Customer service is excellent!

I got my dress at Hitched and loved it. There's a review of Hitched in my bio and I also put some info in there about other salons I visited.

Gotta try Maria's Bridal in Fairfax. It's a smaller shop but the customer service is impeccable!!! I'm pretty sure I found THE ONE there too - I'm just not quite ready to buy right now since we don't have more pertinent details nailed down yet. :-( They do carry some couture lines as well. I did like PoB in Tysons as well. I forgot my sales consultant's name, but she was very laid-back and totally not pushy at all. White Swan Bridal in Vienna is also nice - two levels with a large selection of dresses, although Natasha Stolichnaya (not the owner's real name, just what my BM and I laugh and call her) can be a little bit brash but NOT unfriendly - the woman just knows her dresses! I would be wary of Hannelore's in Old Town Alexandria. They have a HUGE selection of dresses and its a very pretty store, quite upscale, but (and I posted on this a while back) I had a very snobby sales consultant who snapped at me and barely cracked a smile until I actually tried on a dress that I liked and she thought she could close the sale. A lot of the other girls here have had similar experiences as well. It seems that if you're not gonna drop beaucoup bucks on a dress (like $5K+), they don't seem to treat you very well. Good luck!

I second Terri Lynn in Bethesda!  I just ordered my dress from there about 2 weeks ago and had a fabulous experience!  I went to numerous salons in the area (VA and MD) and found Terri Lynn provided me with exactly what I was looking for.  She only takes one appointment at a time which is wonderful!  I loved the personalized attention.  I went with my mother on a Friday and narrowed it down to 3 dresses.  Terri was fully booked on Saturday however came in at 8am to allow me to come back with my MOH and show her the 3 dresses again.  She's just wonderful to work with!!
