I'm looking for recommendations for a band under $5,000 for a March 2010 wedding.Thank you!!

    There are tons of bands you can get for under $5k. Are you look for your band or a band for your FI? We got both of ours from Jarads and together they were way under $5k.

    Not sure what kind of music you are looking for but I highly recommend the band that we used for our wedding.  They're called the Electric Company and they play a lot of 70's and 80's hits (mainly the ones that get the crowds going).  They did an awesome job and really had the crowd going.  I don't know what their standard rates are b/c we had a discount b/c we know the band members through DH's connections since he has his own band.  But I believe that they would be very affordable.  All the guests raved about how good they were.http://www.myspace.com/theelectriccompanyband

    I was going to suggest Electric Company, too. FI and I looked them up and they were i the very affordable range, like $1500-$3000. We haven't contacted them yet or anything. So far my mom has contacted this band called Powerhouse. They're a little expensive, quoted us about $7000 for our July 2010 wedding. But the lady told my mom that the band is an 11-piece band and you can kind of customize your packages because they have several different option to fit several different budgets. I didn't really like the sound of Powerhouse as much as I liked Mood Swings, who we are still waiting to hear from (but I'm thinking they might be expen$ive too). My friend's band was called "Spin", and they were supposedly really good, about $1600. I'm still waiting on the contact info for them... you can't find it anywhere online, so I have no idea how she found them. But as soon as I know I'll post it or e-mail you.
