what to wear for dress shopping?

Hi Everyone!
Up until now I haven't posted much but your posts have been so incredibly helpful to me.  I'm beginning to get into serious planning and so here come the questions..

The first thing up is dress shopping and I was wondering what do you wear underneath to the dress shopping? Should I get something special, or would just a strapless bra work? What about spanx and all that stuff?

Any opinions/suggestions would be so helpful!
Thanks

If you want a fitted gown, yes wear spanx so you get the full effect. Get a long line bra and wear full coverage undies! They don't wanna see your cheekies! LOL

I agree with the full coverage undies but I wouldn't buy anything just to go shopping. I went to quite a few shops and they were all different. Also depending on the style of the dress the undergarments very.  I had a bustiere but some shops wanted me to take it off and put theirs on and some shops said it's better to not have it on. It was totally different. I started just wearing a strapless bra and just went with whatever the shop said.

I would start with just a regular/strapless bra and boy shorts.  You can borrow (and buy later) some of the other undergarments like spanx or longline bras if you need it for your dress.  Bring heels to slip on, if you plan to wear them on your wedding day, because they change your posture.

I would also go without makeup because you'll be pulling all the dresses on and off over your head.

    Good luck, and have fun!
