Formal Faces for makeup/hair?

Has anyone ever used Formal Faces?  I am having a seriously hard time deciding who I want to do my makeup and hair and I LOVE formal face's pics but it worries me that they emailed me and said I have to sign the contract with them before I ever do a trial.  if I decide to do that, they better be amazing!!  What would you do?

can they send you the contract in advance so you can see what it says? I had two makeup trials with two different artists because I wasn't happy with the first one even though she came recommended so I'm glad I wasn't locked into anything. I paid her for the trial and that was it. If the contract just says that you pay for the trial if you don't end up hiring them that's fine but if you have to agree in advance to hiring them (and paying them) to do your wedding that's not ok. They are fairly popular on this board so I can't imagine that they obligate you to hire them without first having a trial.

I used formal faces and LOVED them. I had Shannon as my consultant. It was well worth the money to have my pictures look good for my hair and makeup.

Jens871----did your makeup stay put all day?  Did you face get very oily at any point?

I had my wedding outside on a hot summer day (not very sunny though) and i wasn't oily at all. The makeup lasted all day and night. Even on my trial I got it done early in the morning and it lasted all night. You might have to reapply lipstick/gloss, but thats it.
